Parents' Complete Guide to Day Camps
Today I decided to search my local library’s catalog for John Hodgman’s book “The Areas of My Expertise”. They don’t have it, which is disappointing. However, the list of books that most closely match my search criteria are listed below. Area seven Bared fangs Career smarts Career strategies to last a lifetime Careers Arena / Arena: Sports SF / Aren’t...

Suck it, High Rollers!!!
I’m in Vegas for Devconnections and after a ridiculously huge portion of Shepherd’s Pie at the Cheesecake Factory I put $4 in the penny slots. Well, it must be my lucky day because I won $65. I REALLY wish they had the kind of slots that actually dispense money instead of just beeping real loud because it would have been AWESOME for 6,500 pennies come flying out of that sucker.

My sister-in-law grew up to be DJ Lance of Yo Gabba Gabba, which is weird because she doesn’t have that much orange stuff.

The Ghost of Steve Jobs
I’m sorry, but even though he says the rumors of his death are greatly exaggerated, I’m not so sure. I think there’s a good chance that Steve Jobs died recently and his ghost appeared on stage at the iPod event today.

Burt Kunkle
So I’m doing a mock-up of something at work and I needed a list of names to use. I’m tired of using the names of my co-workers and other people I know so I did a quick search for a random name generator. The first one that came up was, not surprisingly, called Random Name Generator. When I generated my list of names, this was the result: Burt Kunkle Bo Toke Andrea Armstrong Tyrone...

Ray Nagin is George Costanza
I’ve read the following quotes from Ray Nagin over the last couple of days: “You need to be scared” “If you decide to stay, you are on your own” “We really don’t have the resources to rescue you after this” I was reminded of the scene where George Costanza pushes children and an old lady out of the way to escape an apartment fire. I’m...

Table Tennis Color Commentary
During the Table Tennis Gold Medal match between Ma Lin and Wang Hao, the following remarks were made by the commentators: “Break it down, style-wise” “The strongest forehand on the planet, pure power” “Whoever controls the short, soft balls…” “Ma Lin has really developed a reputation as being the Jim Kelly of table tennis” “They...

Mustache Comb Necklace
There are several funny things about this: It’s a mustache comb It’s on a necklace It costs $168 If I were capable of growing a mustache and had $168, this would be hanging around my neck. However, the more I think about it, this is the perfect accessory for the man who doesn’t have a mustache. What better way to make friends than to offer to comb someone’s mustache...

Is This Even English?
Talking about “I Want to Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles, Ger Tillekins said: “There is the downward modulation in the middle eight, where the home key of G is shifted to C by pivoting on the minor fifth…” I know nothing about music but I’m almost positive that he’s just making this stuff up.

Blackberry Curve Pics
While I am scrimping and saving for DSLR I’ve decided to give myself an assignment. The way I see it, if I can take good pics with my Blackberry Curve then I’ll be able to take good pics with a DSLR. So, every day I am going to try and post a pic I’ve taken with my Curve. Here is the first one.
